Board & Train
Common questions about our immersive training programs.
How long is the 2-Week Board & Train program?
Board & Train programs are approximately 15 consecutive days, unless additional time is needed for safety, behavioral, or scheduling reasons.
Will I receive updates while my dog is training?
Yes. Trainers provide progress updates approximately every 3 days, excluding weekends and major holidays. Daily updates are not guaranteed so trainers can stay focused on training quality and canine care.
What should I bring at drop-off?
Owners should provide a secure everyday collar, enough of the dog’s current food for the program, written feeding instructions when needed, complete medication information, and required veterinary records.
What happens when my dog comes home?
On the final day, an approximately one-hour turnover lesson is conducted to review your dog’s training, handling techniques, expectations, and how to continue reinforcing the work at home.
Is Behavioral Management also a Board & Train program?
Yes. Behavioral Management follows the immersive Board & Train format, with the training plan tailored toward dogs that need more focused support with behavioral challenges.
Private Training
One-on-one coaching tailored to you and your dog.
How does Private Training work?
Private Training is hands-on, one-on-one coaching built around your dog, your goals, and the challenges you’re experiencing. You’ll work directly with a trainer while learning how to reinforce your dog’s training yourself.
Can we focus on specific behaviors or goals?
Yes. Private Training can be tailored toward obedience, leash skills, household manners, behavior concerns, communication, impulse control, or more advanced training goals.
Will I participate in the training?
Yes. Owner participation is one of the biggest advantages of Private Training. You’ll learn how to communicate, reinforce expectations, identify patterns, and continue practicing between lessons.
What if I need to reschedule a lesson?
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a Private Training lesson. Lessons are not forfeited when proper notice is provided.
Group Classes
Learn more about our small-group training environment.
How long is the Group Training program?
Group Training is a 4-week program designed to build skills while giving dogs and owners opportunities to practice around other dogs, people, and distractions.
Are Group Classes suitable for reactive dogs?
Group Training is intended for dogs with no history of reactivity. If your dog struggles with reactivity or more significant behavior concerns, we can help you determine whether Private Training or Behavioral Management would be a better starting point.
What should I bring to class?
Owners should bring a leash and collar. Water is provided. Training tools or treats may be recommended depending on the individual dog and should be used as directed by the trainer.
What happens if I miss a class?
Missed classes without prior notice are forfeited. Transfers to another class date are not guaranteed and depend on availability and trainer approval.
