Who We Are
Cosmo K9 Obedience is a family-owned dog training company focused on practical, personalized training and lasting results. Led by Chris Ramirez, our team works with dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavior levels while helping owners build clearer communication and stronger relationships with their dogs.

After my service in the Marine Corps, I recognized the need for a service dog—one that could provide support during challenging times and motivate me each day. I found that loyal companion in Korra, a German Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur. Over the course of two years, Korra and I trained together, forging an unbreakable bond. It was through this training that I discovered my passion for dog training.
After completing formal canine behavioral training and gaining experience as a trainer for other companies, I decided to start my own business. Establishing Cosmo K9 Obedience has allowed me to create personalized training programs that address the unique needs of each client, as well as the specific abilities and history of their dogs.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of training dogs of all breeds and ages, addressing a variety of behavioral needs and client expectations. I take great pride in my ability to connect with each dog I work with, treating them as if they were my own. I believe every dog deserves the opportunity to learn and grow, and I am honored to provide the support and tools necessary to help them achieve their full potential.

Dogs have always been my greatest passion — ask anyone who knows me. With guidance from Cosmo K9 and inspiration from my late heart dog, Obie, I’ve found my calling in dog training. He taught me the power of unconditional love and the importance of showing up fully for the ones who depend on us.
Now, with my pup Ketchup by my side, I’m helping dogs and their humans build lasting bonds through trust, communication, and consistency.

Thair helps keep Cosmo K9’s day-to-day care running smoothly. He maintains the kennel area, supports boarding, assists with transportation, and helps with walking, feeding, bathing, and general care. His reliability and attention to detail help ensure every dog stays safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their time with us.

Dani keeps the behind-the-scenes side of Cosmo K9 running smoothly. She manages the administrative and operational details of the business, supports client communication, oversees marketing and website strategy, and tracks performance through analytics to help the company grow thoughtfully.
With a background in operations, client service, and compliance, Dani brings organization, strategy, and a strong eye for detail to the team. While Chris and the trainers focus on the dogs, she focuses on the systems, communication, and planning that keep everything moving forward.
Our Training Philosophy
We believe effective dog training starts with clear communication, consistency, and an approach tailored to the individual dog. No two dogs learn exactly the same way, so we take the time to understand each dog’s temperament, history, behavior, and home environment before building a training plan.
Our programs focus on practical, real-world results—not just obedience in a controlled setting. We help dogs develop reliable skills, better decision-making, and greater confidence while teaching owners how to maintain that progress at home.
We also believe lasting change happens when the dog and owner are working as a team. That’s why education is such an important part of our process. We explain the “why” behind the training, provide clear guidance, and give families the tools they need to create structure, reinforce expectations, and build a stronger relationship with their dog.
