WHAT WE WORK ON

Practical skills for everyday life.

Training is individualized around your dog and your goals, but Structural Obedience commonly focuses on these core areas.

01

Leash Manners

Build calmer, more manageable walks and better responsiveness around everyday distractions.

02

Recall

Strengthen your dog’s ability to respond and return when called.

03

Place & Settling

Teach your dog to remain calmly in a designated area and settle around household activity.

04

Impulse Control

Build patience and better decision-making around exciting situations and everyday routines.

05

Everyday Obedience

Reinforce clear responses to the commands and expectations your dog needs in daily life.

06

Real-World Reliability

Practice skills around appropriate distractions so obedience becomes useful outside a quiet training environment.

HOW IT WORKS

Structure, practice, and a clear handoff.

The program is designed to build skills in a structured training environment and then help you understand how to continue them at home.

STEP 01

Intake

We review your dog, your goals, household routines, and the skills you want to improve.

STEP 02

Foundation

Your dog begins learning clearer communication, structure, commands, and expectations.

STEP 03

Real-World Practice

Skills are reinforced around appropriate distractions and everyday situations.

STEP 04

Owner Handoff

We show you how to communicate, practice, and maintain your dog’s training after they return home.

DURING THE TRAINING STAY

Progress builds in layers.

Structural Obedience Board & Train is typically an approximately 15-consecutive-day stay. Training progresses according to the individual dog rather than a rigid day-by-day formula.

01

Build the Foundation

Establish clearer communication, structure, engagement, and the core skills your dog needs.

02

Add Reliability

Reinforce obedience, manners, and impulse control while gradually introducing appropriate challenges.

03

Prepare for Home

Strengthen the skills you will use most and prepare for the transition back into normal household routines.

Because every dog learns differently, exact training progression and exercises may vary based on the individual dog and training goals.

OWNER HANDOFF

Training has to transfer to you.

On your dog’s final day, we walk you through the commands, communication, handling, and expectations used during training. This transfer lesson is an important part of helping your dog’s progress continue at home.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Plan for about one hour.

Your final-day turnover is approximately one hour. Come ready to practice, ask questions, and learn how to carry the training into your dog’s everyday routine.
